COVID-19 Updates

We are following the Texas Governor and Harris County guidelines. This page will address the Association's plan. The guidelines are an evolving plan and we will do our best to adapt to this new way of life with our residents. The Lap pool, Adult pool, Clubhouse pool, and Lakehouse Gym will open May 20th, 2020. The Lazy River and Diving Board are now open as well. Reservations can be made by calling 281-213-4132. No back to back reservations will be allowed. The pool will be open Tuesday - Sunday from 11:00am - 8:00pm. The pool will be open Memorial Day 11:00am - 8:00pm, but will be closed all other Mondays for cleaning.
 
Pool, Gym, and Social Distancing
The new guidelines set by authorities raise several liabilities for the Association, and in turn, its residents and Board. We must create a solution for these in order for the gym and pools to open. This includes guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as well as those imposed by the State of Texas and Harris County.  Per the new orders, we may only allow a total capacity of 25% while maintaining social distancing guidelines both in and out of the pool, as well as provide constant cleaning of high-touch surfaces which would include gates, furniture, doors, and restrooms . If these standards are not met, the Association could be forced to close the pools and be fined by local authorities. We will open the fitness center and pool on May 20th. The fitness center will be heavily monitored to 12-15 people for 1 hour each. The pool will be monitored for 25-30 homeowners allowed in the pool. The fitness center and the pool will be limited to homeowners only, there will not be any homeowner guests allowed. At this time, we are not allowed to have the splash pad open. 
 
Pool
  • Pool seating will be configured to allow for at least six feet of separation between each lounge chair.
  • Groups will not be allowed to gather that are not within federal or state guidelines. Pool attendants will monitor pools in 15 minute increments to ensure all guest are practicing proper social distancing guidelines. 
  • Pool access is available in 2-hour increments from 11 AM – 8 PM.
  • Each 2-hour increment is limited to 25-30 people pool.
  • Members can reserve one 2-hour time slot per day up to one day in advance. Walk ups may be turned away.  
  • Access limited to Members only – no accompanied guests or extended family permitted. ID cards only. 
  • Advance bookings will not be accepted. You must book each day for the following day 
  • Members must speak with the Administrative Assistant/Front Desk to book their reservation. Voicemails will not be accepted as a reservation 
  • Chairs will be sanitized upon departure of each Member and prior to the next time slot arriving 
  • Use will be monitored by pool attendants.
  • Only the one unisex bathroom will be open.
 
Fitness Center
  • All of the equipment has been moved to over six feet apart to allow separation. We have removed the electrical cords on alternating treadmills to keep the six foot separation. 
  • Mats and weighted cloth exercise balls have been removed. 
  • Homeowners will provide their own water and towel.  
  • Fitness Center access is available in 1-hour increments from 8 AM – 8 PM. Monday – Saturday. Closed on Sunday. 
  • Each 1-hour increment is limited to 15 people 
  • Members can reserve one 1-hour time slot per day.
  • Access limited to Members only – no accompanied guests or extended family permitted 
  • Advance bookings will not be accepted. You must book each day for the following day
  • Members must speak with the Administrative Assistant/Front Desk to book their reservation. Voicemails will not be accepted as a reservation 
  • Use will be monitored by front desk attendants. All homeowners will verbally check in with the front desk upon arrival and departure.  
 
Deed Enforcement and Compliance
Deed enforcement drives will resume as normal starting May 20th. Please check your property to address any issues that may not be in compliance with the CCR’s*. The CCR’s can be found here. If you receive a notice or have any questions regarding community compliance, please email jfreeman@townelakelife.com. Extensions will be evaluated on a case by case basis. 
*Common offenses are:
  • trash/recycle bins – must be stored behind a wood fence or in your garage on non-trash days. 
  • landscaping not being maintained to community standards – keep beds free of weeds and grass and mow on a regular basis. 
  • Installing an exterior modification without obtaining approval from the ARC. – all exterior modifications require written approval from the Architectural Committee. When in doubt, ask us!

Sanitation
Towne Lake will be using some of the below sanitation products throughout certain areas in the community. 
1.) Sodium Hypochlorite (chlorine or bleach) mixed with a surfactant as needed depending on situation.  This product leaves behind almost no residual barrier, especially if it is rinsed off due to the oxidizing effects on certain surfaces.
2.)  Quaternary Ammonium Surfactant or "QUATs"  called Max QUAT.  It is prepared at 400-600 ppm solution and is applied to surfaces such that they stay wet for at least 5 minutes.  This is a CDC recommended, EPA registered disinfectant for use in hospitals, schools, gyms, commercial and residential facilities.  This product leaves a residual barrier on the surface that can persists for extended amounts of time. Front Desk Procedures
Our front desk staff is in the office Monday - Saturday from 8:00am - 8:00pm. They will be answering phones to assist you. There is a lockbox outside of the lakehouse that we ask you to use to drop off any payments or documents. We are practicing social distancing and have the front desk roped off to keep everyone at a safe distance. We also encourage anyone in the lakehouse to wear a mask. Our residents and staff safety is very important to us!
